Impressive Clemente Alonso at stage 2. Clemente, TriGrandPrix Champion 2010, did the race with Eneko Llanos and Mathias Hecht. In the 20K run, Clemente was the fastest. Clemente is the first Spanish Pro to beat Eneko in a middle distance triatlon in the last 5 years.

Francesc Godoy was the fastest on the swim, opening a 1:15 gap to a group of 4 Athletes (clemente, Eneko, Sanson, Alfaro). Elgezabal and Stadler were 4:30 behind. On the bike, Hecht, Llanos and Alonso were on the lead and Normann Stadler broke the back wheel and they day was over for the 2X world champion.

In T2 Eneko was leading the race, but Clemente was able to stay close to later take the lead and win the race by 38 seconds.

In the female field, Anna Cleaver was the first person to exit the water and Natalie Barnard was 15 sec from Anna. 2:32 minutes later there was the group of Cat Morrison and Ana Burgos.

In the bike sector Morrison went full gas and at the 45k she took the lead. Morrison went all the way and ran a fast 20k to win for second time the TriGrandPrix Basque Country.

1 Cat Morrison followed by Anna Cleaver, Anna Burgos, Saleta Castro, Julia Grant and Natalie Barnard. The crowds in Zarautz were amazing like every year and 30,000 followed the race online.
